Alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, ADRM, are alternate forms to the judicial process, which allow individuals to resolve their disputes without having to go to ordinary justice; Go back to the first civilizations and have been implemented not only in Colombia but in other nations of America. Although these mechanisms were institutionalized in Colombia with the purpose of overcoming a judicial problem, the truth is that, when they were included in the Constitution of 1991, its objective was transformed and it has contributed to the "culture of peace", favoring strengthening Of democracy and the contribution in the implementation of the Social State of Law, which poses challenges for the administration of justice, therefore, it is necessary to continue insisting that the establishment of ADRM requires the necessary conditions These include: A strong training of judges, who work for the transformation of conflicts. The mass dissemination of the ADRM, which must be at the head of the state. The development of a culture of dialogue and consensus, teaching strategies that allow the proper handling of aggressive behaviors that are generated at the time of conflict transformation processes. To overcome the paradigm of processalist formation of lawyers. To understand that with the application of the ADRM many times it is in contravia of the formation, experience and professional culture of the lawyers, according to which, the parties are adversaries and the conflicts can be solved by means of the application that establishes that alone One of them assists the reason, while the other one lacks it; This position deepens the conflict and directly affects the results. The creation of a line of work that articulates the Ministry of Justice as the governing body for the ADRM, with the Higher Council of the Judiciary, in order to carry out training processes, investigations, agreements, systematizations, among others in order to strengthen the use of ADRM at the national level.
